Why it matters
The question of “what next?”
For many girls, the most decisive moment in education does not come at university, it comes much earlier, after matric, when the familiar structure of school ends and the question of “what next?” begins. A capable student may have the ambition, yet financial constraints, limited exposure and lack of guidance can narrow her path forward.
What we do
Guidance, brought to the classroom
Her Next Step, a new initiative by the Zarina Shamim Foundation (ZSF), brings career guidance directly to girls in government schools. Through interactive counseling sessions, we introduce them to career fields, degree pathways, universities, and opportunities beyond school.
