The Zarina Shamim Scholarship Program (ZSSP) is the flagship initiative of the Zarina Shamim Foundation (ZSF), dedicated to empowering young women through education. Established in 2007, the program provides need-based scholarships to academically promising young women facing financial barriers, enabling them to pursue higher and professional education.
The Nargis Amir Ahmed Khan Support Program (NAAKSP) is a welfare initiative of the Zarina Shamim Foundation (ZSF) that extends educational support to students facing financial hardship. Through need-based assistance funded by Zakat and Sadaqah, the program helps students continue their education with dignity.
The Future Skills & Robotics Hub prepares young learners for the future through hands-on education in robotics, coding, artificial intelligence (AI), STEM, and digital technologies, equipping students with the skills and confidence to excel in an evolving technological world.
To foster academic excellence and digital inclusion, the Zarina Shamim Foundation equips scholarship recipients with laptops to support learning, research and skill development, empowering students to prepare for future educational and professional success.

Hira Naseer
2007
Dr. Hira Naseer, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2007 batch, completed her MBBS from Allama Iqbal
Medical College and her M.S. in Anesthesiology from UHS. She is now a Consultant Anesthesiologist
at Jinnah Hospital Lahore, where she continues to break barriers and heal lives.
Shahana Saleem
2008
Shahana Saleem, A Pharmacy graduate and EU-certified pharmacist, Shahana is currently
working as a licensed pharmacist in Norway. Certified to practice across all European Union countries, she continues to empower
communities through education and global healthcare, embodying ZSSP’s spirit of
transformation.
Maida Tabassum
2009
Maida Tabassum, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2009 batch, earned her degree in Physics and is now a Science
and Physics Teacher at Next Generation School in Dubai, UAE, where she is shaping young minds with
knowledge and passion.
Unse Ghafoor
2009
Dr. Unsa Ghafoor, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2009 batch, graduated in 2017 from Nawaz Sharif Medical
College and has completed FCPS in Pediatric Medicine. She is now practicing in Islamabad/Rawalpindi
while paving her path toward further specializations.

Madiha Ghafoor, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2010 batch, earned her Bachelor’s in Architecture from
UET and is now a Lecturer at the University of Management and Technology (UMT).
Aroosa Afzal
2010
Aroosa Afzal, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2010 batch, earned her BSc in Agriculture (Horticulture) and is
contributing to grassroots education as a Primary School Teacher (PST, BPS-14) at Government Girls
Primary School Qabool Wala, Multan Saddar.
Seemal Amin
2011
Seemal Amin, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2011 batch, earned her postgraduate degree and diploma in
Clinical Psychology from Punjab University. She is a Government Employee at PSRD College of
Rehabilitation Sciences, where she works as a Lecturer, Clinical Psychologist and Motivational Speaker,
inspiring others through education and resilience.
Aqsa Arshad
2013
Dr. Aqsa Arshad, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2013 batch, completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
(DVM) in 2021. She is a Veterinary Officer (BS-17) in the Livestock & Dairy Development Department,
Government of Punjab, where she contributes to community-focused initiatives and veterinary progress.

2013
Ayesha Tabassum, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2013 batch with an MS in Computer Science, is the founder
of EmpowerHer Digital Agency and has over seven years of experience in graphic design.
Hafsa Butt
2013
Hafsa Butt, a ZSSP Scholar, completed her MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College. She is now a
Medical Officer at Zahida Welfare Hospital, Lahore, where she leads OPDs independently and continues
to impact lives through dedicated patient care.
Asma Atta
2014
Asma Atta, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2014 batch, completed her MBBS from Gujranwala Medical
College after receiving continuous scholarship support from matriculation through medical school
and is now ready to contribute her skills to community and country.
Hafiza Azka Javed
2015
Hafiza Azka Javaid, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2015 batch, earned her BS in Computer Engineering
from UET and is now a Software Engineer at Uworx Pvt. Ltd.
Maryum Tanveer

Maryam Tanveer, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2015 batch, completed her Pharmacy degree, pursued an
M.Phil. in Pharmacology at Lahore College for Women University and is also managing her own
academy alongside her academic journey.
Moazma Irfan

Moazma, a ZSSP Scholar, earned her degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of
Sciences and Technology (NUST). She is now a Project Manager in the tech industry, leading
international projects and empowering young women by turning her journey of confidence into
inspiration for others.

Maham Shahzadi, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2015 batch, graduated in Politics and International Relations
and is now a global advocate recognized for her leadership in education, climate action and gender
inclusion.

Ayesha Naz, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2016 batch, is a Medical Imaging Technologist (CT Technologist)
appointed by Hoora Pharma, where she applies her expertise to advanced diagnostic care.

Sonographer at a leading diagnostic center, performing diverse ultrasound procedures and carrying
forward a legacy of hope and empowerment.

Diagnostic Sonographer at Zainab Rafique Hospital, contributing to patient care and research while
carrying forward the impact of ZSSP.

Ayesha Irfan, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2017 batch with a degree in BS Architectural Engineering, is an
Assistant Architect at Reportage, a Dubai-based firm, where she contributes her skills to innovative
architectural projects.

Rida Bashir, a ZSSP Scholar, holds a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, has published
international research, and is now pursuing an MPhil in Molecular Biotechnology while contributing
remotely to Sentry Health, Canada.
Asfa Tahir

Asfa Tahir, a ZSSP Scholar from the 2018 batch, is pursuing her Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at
NUST after completing her degree from UET, carrying forward the confidence and belief that ZSSP
instilled in her.

climate projects while representing Pakistan globally.
